Squash Court to Simulator Conversion
Luxury living in London comes with certain amenities. Whether it’s an onsite gym, a private pool or even a home cinema, residents in luxury buildings expect the best. So when Golf Swing Systems were approached about converting a rarely used squash court into a luxury golf simulator, we knew the finished article needed to stand out as a favourite of the residents.
The Enclosure
With ceiling heights in excess of 10m, building a self contained golf simulator was the best option. By utilising a bespoke built, simulator enclosure, we had the ability to control the amount of ambient light from the court lights and provide a safe experience for the residents, regardless of golfing ability. Golf Swing Systems are the original designers of the Golf Simulator enclosure and have been selling and installing these for the past 20 years. This experience means we know how to ensure even taller golfers can safely swing within our enclosures.
The Launch Monitor
One of the top options for commercial use launch monitors, is SkyTrak. Utilising photometric analysis, the SkyTrak has one main advantage over its competitors. It is compact. Positioned adjacent to the golfer, SkyTrak requires far less space and has a much simpler setup process. This lends itself to the residential environment where residents can use the handy laser pointer to easily understand where to strike the ball from.
Screen & Projector
Utilising an HD screen and a high powered 5000 lumens projector, coupled with the blackout quality of the enclosure the picture quality achieved in this simulator was a standout feature. According to residents “The image looks so much better than expected” which adds the quality and wow factor expected in such a building.
