The Project
One of our favourite times at Golf Swing Systems is when a long-anticipated project comes to fruition. This was the case recently with long-time friend of the business David Jones (PGA Professional at Royal Wimbledon Golf Club). Looking to provide the very best to the clubs members, David looked to the gold standard in golf simulation. A Golf Swing Systems TrackMan teaching studio, complete with IDS super slow-motion cameras and an HD Projector and Screen combination.
Royal Wimbledon Before
The Before
The existing setup at Royal Wimbledon serves a purpose. A large net was in place to offer a place practice when the weather didn’t play ball, and a separate room housed a pool table, ideal for some member social gatherings. With neither of these rooms being large enough to house the new teaching studio, a build team were required to demolish the partitioning wall and create a huge open space, ideal for TrackMan.
Royal Wimbledon After
The Finished Product
When you are looking to build a state-of-the-art teaching studio, there is one choice of launch monitor. TrackMan 4 provides state of the art graphics, unparalleled accuracy and a brand-new user interface. All of this results in the markets best golf simulation experience. When you could this premier launch monitor solution with IDS Super Slow-Motion Cameras, you get an unbeatable picture of the golf swing in 240 Frames per Second.
All this tech needs to be appreciated on the proper screen. To achieve this, we have installed a bespoke HD Screen, two 55″ Touchscreen monitors and a 6000 lumens HD projector. This results in a cinema quality experience with easy access to all your data and an intuitive gaming experience when utilising TrackMan’s 180+ golf courses.
To protect the brand-new room from damage, Royal Wimbledon have decided to install our Faux Leather cushions. Available in a huge range of sizes, colours and even shapes, this is our best option for a stylish and premium finish.
Finally, the floor. To provide real time feedback on your golf shots, we have installed our brand-new upgraded Tee Turf Matting. This not only allows you to tee the ball up anywhere but also reacts like a real fairway, to inform your practice in the best possible way. You can even putt in this state-of-the-art teaching room, with our Eagle Putting Turf installed on the rest of the floor space. This custom putting turf rolls at 10 on the Stimpmeter and create a real-feel putting practice environment.
